I’ve always been tempted by either the Samsung NX or Sony NEX systems, but both are a little expensive for me.

@chrisphin what do you want from a new camera? Something smaller than your 400D? Do you mind composing with a screen, or do you need a v/f?3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@Cameralabs I would have been happy with my 400D had it not died. Indeed, I would have spent some money on new glass for our Japan holiday.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@chrisphin why buy one of the 400D's successors? The 550D and 600D are both still great and not too pricey. Or the 100D if you want smaller1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@Cameralabs No reason why not. Am looking at the 600D. Any reasons to go for it over the 1100D or 100D?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@chrisphin if you can afford the 100D, go for it. Same quality as bigger models, but small body, nice touchscreen etc. But above budget?3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@Cameralabs Not too fussed about touchscreen unless you say it's good. So: better than the 600D? (Hundred quid more, body only.)1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@chrisphin Articulated screen on the 600D is useful, but if you can live without, the 100D is near identical and lighter.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@bazzacollins Thanks. The 100D is a hundred quid more expensive too. Doesn't feel toy-like?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
@chrisphin Does feel a little cramped at first, but got used to it v quickly.
