@bazzacollins 9 & 10 of July I'm working a 10-6ish shift so can meet you on way through Victoria?
…they’re no longer on iPlayer, but can pay £2.49 per episode from iTunes. Why do we pay a licence fee again?

@bazzacollins um you get 4 tv channels, 5 radio, web and iplayer for your licence fee - iplayer time limited because of market impact/Ofcom -
@ruskin147 if I’d recorded those shows off television via Sky+ I could keep them indefinitely. Downloads are expunged. Both identical files. -
@bazzacollins yes - that's the regulation. Same with ITV, C4 - time limited online availability. We're not allowed to undercut them -
@ruskin147 Bizarre, but thanks for explanation. Think I have a topic for my next column.

@bazzacollins I'd rather pay 10pc of current fee, get R4 comedies, best of Radio 6 Music and any TV with@stephenfry in. Scrap rest. -
@Sparkes Sod this TV lark, why haven’t we caught up for a beer lately? -
@bazzacollins Happy to, fella. My hours are pretty anti-social but it'd be good. I think you pass under my desk daily - Victoria station? -
@Sparkes Indeed. I’m away next week, but definitely the week after.
