@bazzacollins maybe something to do with it being 7am?
Just got a 5Mbits/sec speed test reading on my home Sky broadband line, which is as fast as it’s ever been.

@iannock It’s never synced any faster than 4.5Mbits/sec before, so no. -
@bazzacollins ah ... sync rather than transfer speed.. I hope it is stable (packet loss/CRC errors) and survives further training -
@iannock The 5Mbits/sec was actual throughput; didn’t have time to check sync speed before I left. Suspect it will settle a little slower.

@bazzacollins you are not the only one http://www.speedtest.net/result/2586728142.png … -
@strath4ensics Faster than you had before? -
@bazzacollins No. To be honest the top one I had was 7.81 MBps (once !) at a promised speed of 12.9 Mbps !!! Slower I recorded was 0.99 !!!

@bazzacollins A whole 5Mbit/sec, eh? In Bath, there are only a few small pockets where you can get fibre, and mostly residential areas! -
@chriswiles There is fibre in Burgess Hill but my cab’s not economically viable, apparently. -
@bazzacollins Same scenario here. Most offices outside cabinet areas too.
