More fool me for not checking properly beforehand, but Sky Broadband doesn’t allow you to use your own router. Pathetic.
@neilcochrane1 Yep. You’re a star, Neil. Thanks. Don’t go to any great effort.

@bazzacollins Also Sky will know you are not using their router, and can (in theory) cut you off (Disclamer -- don't blame me!) -
@neilcochrane1 Yep, well aware of the risk. Thanks. Getting them to turn up gain first. -
@bazzacollins http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/extracting-sky-router-passwords/26425-using-your-own-router-sky-bb.html … I used the link (against Chromes advice) and it works, but not sure about the new white routers -
@neilcochrane1 Thanks for your help. -
@bazzacollins BTW, didn't ask what problems you are having the with Sky router? -
@neilcochrane1 sync speed is much slower than it was previously. Not a problem with router itself, but better router can boost sync speeds

@bazzacollins I'll have a little dig around, Sky help won't be any help, they told me use google to find out how to to it! -
@neilcochrane1 Ha! Bloke I just spoke to was charming, but clueless -
@bazzacollins Luck of the draw with Sky support, some know there stuff, some can read a script..
