@Gingeraction @Sean_macrook
Madness to play 3 games in 2 days on a wet pitch. Weather key, will be a pudding by 3 Sunday whatever
@Kev_Brook Wouldn't initial cost be considerable? And how far up are you allowed to go with an artificial surface?

@LewesLadiesFC@bazzacollins@Kev_Brook Hand up in the air. What’s a 3G pitch please?#caughtoutknowingnothingaboutfooty -
@MartinPPorter It's a new type of artificial pitch. -
@bazzacollins okey-dokey. Thanks for that. A step beyond AstroTurf I take it? Showing my ignorance here. :-) -
@MartinPPorter Yep, although still synthetic. Planning a piece for a future@Lewes_cfc programme.

@bazzacollins It is (up to £500k) but there are grants/funding to help. Currently only allowed at Ryman level but this will 100% change. -
@Kev_Brook It would be an expensive gamble if we weren't sure it would be accepted at Blue Sq. Why risk a promotion at some point? -
@bazzacollins@Kev_Brook that is the most positive tweet of the year Bazza. We could just keep winning the Ryman every season. Annoying. -
@BigDeaksy@Kev_Brook I'm a positive bloke, Deaksy! Honestly don't think there's an enormous gulf between our mob and play-off contenders.

@bazzacollins@Kev_Brook be interested to hear from players currently using 3G. Heard injury murmurings at Maidstone during preseason -
@Rookmeister@bazzacollins Agree. I'm certain I've seen research into injuries though & no evidence to suggest it is any worse. -
@Kev_Brook@bazzacollins hmm,@wormy1276 might have a view on 3G and injuries! Agree they are an answer to weather/ multi team issues -
@Rookmeister@bazzacollins@wormy1276 I'm sure he does. Pros & cons for both surfaces. There's certainly been no injury crisis at Maidstone.
