Interesting article http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-21058994 … My money would be on a trojan in a new driver for the MB. What does the team think?

@mnew I think the story it utter bull, and I'm amazed it has been written by a technology corespondent. Shoes HUGE cluelessness.

@mnew Else every time you bought a new PC your bank account would freeze!

@PaulOckenden well quite, and to say nothing of when you use someone else's machine.

@mnew @PaulOckenden I wouldn't rule it out. Tesco bank knows when I'm using a new PC on the same IP address.

@bazzacollins @PaulOckenden So Tesco's is loking for a cookie, not your hardware.

@mnew @PaulOckenden it's not a cookie, because I cleared those recently to clear a fault, and Tesco still recognises the device.

@bazzacollins @mnew Oh sure, but using a new PC on an ecommerce site won't trigger a bank fraud check. That's just Looney Toons.
