@bazzacollins but at every stage they were threatened with legal action by networks. And not auction but clearing spectrum caused delay
@superglaze Why? It was entirely in Ofcom’s gift to run that auction months ago? As ever, it dithered until it had no choice but to act.

@ruskin147 "Threatened" being the key word; the networks knew Ofcom would cave. It's the regulator that doesn't like to regulate. -
@bazzacollins well of course it was when it did make a firm move - EE - that everything started to happen. -
@ruskin147 It was a brave(ish) decision, but the impetus came from EE. I think it's a little disingenuous of Ofcom to claim the credit. -
@bazzacollins@ruskin147 I can't see EE getting much traction by spring. They'll be too expensive until they have competition.
