@bazzacollins why $150? @500px pays 70% net to the photographer.
Hmmm… so @500px only pays out when you reach $100 of sales. This means it can make almost $150 out of your work before it pays you a penny.

@tchebotarev You get $2 for every $3 image sale, but nothing until they receive $150 for your work. -
@bazzacollins it's reverse — you receive $2 on every $2.99 sale.@500px gives you about 4-5 times more commission on sales that reg. stock. -
@tchebotarev No, it’s the same thing. With a $100 min payout, they can earn $148 before paying you. -
@bazzacollins depends on how you define 'earn' — all revenue for photogs are accumulated and accounted. Re: payout, or sell just ~2 prints. -
@tchebotarev Nobody in their right mind buys the prints. It’s cheaper to download $3 photo and have it printed yourself. -
@bazzacollins you'd be surprised… And for the quality & size, $199 is a very good price. Check your local galleries ;) -
@tchebotarev Didn’t realise you were the founder of@500px. Iffy commission policy aside, I’m a big fan of our site. Thanks for answering. - 1 more reply
