Are you moving mate?
Estate agent is demanding two forms of ID, which they will keep on record, to view a property, pointing to money laundering regulations. Is this common practice? Wary of letting estate agents store sensitive ID documents.

Ah ok. If you are, then yes you will need to do all that crap with estate agent etc. Where you looking to if you are moving? Closer to the Pan?

- This sounds very dubious to me as Estate Agents are not directly involved in financial transactions and to expect this information before letting a prospective buyer view a property is, I would suggest, contravenes GDPR.

I've recently viewed many properties with multiple estate agents and wasn't asked for ID until placing an offer

only needed to prove id to solicitors when we bought our gaff which seemed reasonable
