    My mom and sister both live in small towns outside Des Moines. Sis as at the Democratic caucus while mom is at the GOP. Getting updates from both and it is fascinating how the small town politics is the start of this election.

    I get all of the arguments about why Iowa shouldn't vote first, but my question is: Which state would be better? You need one small enough to let darkhorse candidates compete, but diverse enough to represent the party. Maybe Maryland?

    I am sorry but the Iowa caucus is meaningless to me and the results should routinely be discounted. These are people who were tricked by a conman into buying band uniforms for children who couldn’t even play instruments.
