Never had durian. Is it any good? The ones at the market I go to are expensive and they're huge so I don't want to just get one without having some idea.

Durian is fucking delicious. Get a good one and it's just sweet and fleshy goodness (hence why fruit bats like it too). The ones here aren't that great bc they flash freeze to send them here, but it's passable. There are smaller kinds, but they only export the larger varieties

Yeah. Good quality durian is so expensive. I can take it or leave it as a fruit personally, but the idea of wasting it by letting it rot seems painful when I think about the cost of a single one.
