Your TRUE SELF showed. Too little, too late. Disappointed beyond belief. You're supposed to think BEFORE you speak, not apologize AFTER.

Can’t anyone just apologize and that be enough anymore ... we’ve all said or done something stupid ... such an intolerable and unforgiving society we live in - truly sad.

Yes, I was thinking... does he even HEAR himself? You were all about making Tambor feel better. Glad you’re owning that now.

I think your self awareness is amazing, thank you

lol wtf this apology explicitly states that this apology is only being issued after reading to the reaction to the interview (read: TOTAL OUTRAGE).

What you, and many other men, and women need to do is stop defending and listen and learn.

For heaven sakes... people make mistakes - argue-defend- retract and apologize in all industries. We just don’t all have it published. No ones perfect- he apologized.

Oh Bullshit! Don't you dare recant that your interview! IT IS COMMON - and nobody does anything when the rest of us complain! What makes those 'victims' so special?! Can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen!

It strikes me as a heartfelt apology and a plausible explanation. It's just petty for anyone to continue to pile on. Some of these responses are just repeating what he just said was wrong. Instead of casting more stones, let someone apologize and learn from their mistakes.
-
Just like Tambor is in the process, at his age, of learning from his mistakes.

Did you apologize to Jessica directly or just through Twitter? She deserves to hear from you face to face, and deserves to have you stand side by side with her (like you weren’t at the interview). I thought you were better than that.

One thing needs clarifying. It doesn't sound like you were insensitive to Jessica. You WERE insensitive to her. I hope that you get that.

@batemanjason Jason we all make mistakes at work at home and in our daily lives. And it’s much worst for someone in the limelight compared to someone working at Safeway. Everyone makes mistakes and a apology goes a long way no matter what it sounds like at least your tryingThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You seemed to want to take control of a conversation that had become uncomfortable for you. You did not want to look at what Jeffery did, maybe compare it internally to some of your own worst behavior, and tried hard to call it normal. Expect better of yourself and others.
