    Who is Mullah Hasaan Akhund, the new head of the government? He was foreign minister at the beginning of the Taliban previous Govt and then served as deputy to Mullah Rabbani, Raeesul Wazara. He ran a Madrassa in Quetta and is in UN sanctioned list.

  3. Most notable omissions from the Taliban new set up are Sadr Ibrahim & Muallah Zakir - military leaders who have good relations with but not so with . If kept ignored, they could create their own or join another anti Taliban group such as ISIS.

  6. Just spoke to some Taliban officials in Kabul. They confirmed arresting 14 journalists during the anti protest in today. Many journalists’ cameras are taken and recordings were erased. At least 4 journalists were beaten.

    Instead of showing leadership and compassion for people fleeing Afghanistan, EU leaders seem bent on a monstrous PR campaign to tell Afghans (and European voters) that those fleeing should not even think about finding safe haven in Europe.

    Separating girls from boys at a private university in Kabul👇 Taliban have said it’s a temporary arrangement & later on, universities have to have separate classes & teachers for girls. - None of universities can afford that which will deprive girls from education.

    I fear this is a sign of things to come. A strangely harrowing sight of two grand pianos smashed up in Kabul’s state recording studios. When I visited Taliban guards insisted this is how they found them. Their spokesman said music is un-Islamic
