Of course, a preference for localism over statewide rules is a principle, and at times a useful one. But we're not the United School Districts of America. States are different.

So what decisions about their kids are they not allowed to make. Either there can be a legitimate public good override or there can’t. Taking individual freedom to absurdly dangerous lengths, divorced from lived reality, will not end well for the supposed freedom lovers.
