      You actually think that is where the movement to abolish slavery came from? I mean, go look up the Quakers, William Wilberforce, William Lloyd Garrison, or Harriet Beecher Stowe.

      My argument about the essential role of Christian moralism in getting us to the abolition of slavery as a Christian moral limit on human venality, unlike yours, is grounded in the actual history. You should try reading books.

          Dude. Nobody disputes that there were Christians who held the religious and moral belief that slavery was wrong. It should also be beyond dispute that it is a basic, universal value that people do not equal property. Extrapolating that out to a context where there is 1/
