As you know, passing laws that are obviously unconstitutional hurts a democracy.

Could blue states pass laws that allow 3rd parties to bring civil cases against business for selling certain guns? I love the result of this TX law but am concerned its structure could invite abuse.

That's a very big issue. Personally, you and I would disagree on the abortion issue, but the 3rd party portion is bad for everyone, opens the door for abuse on both sides.

If y’all want to ban abortion do it. Pass laws enforced by the state. But to outsource it to informers and vigilantes who suffer no consequence for false accusation sounds remarkably like those other forms of government we are supposed to despise

Yeah, but "We, the government, encourage random people to sue other people in order to take away their constitutional rights" is the kind of "democracy" people mean when they say the US is a republic and not a democracy. It's not really a compliment in this situation.
