Miguel Cabrera averaged .323/.402/.566, 157 OPS+, 99 Runs, 115 RBI, 5.3 WAR over a 13-year stretch. Utterly terrifying hitter.

Saw him hit a HR on a pitch that was 6 inches inside. Amazing.

And so much time lost to injuries for both. Same with Griffey. Makes you wonder what their #'s would be like if they had been healthy all through their primes...

Idk, Miggy never really missed much time during his prime. His constant injuries started 5 years ago but he wasn’t what he used to be at that point.

Remember the end of Rickey Henderson's career? Age 46 or so, talking about coming back to the A's, they say "Well, maybe as a promo for one game", and he basically says "No, in the regular lineup, I think I can still hack it". Yeah, he never made it back. (Or so I recall)
-
Big difference there: Henderson wasn't a terrible player at the end. He was no longer good, but not worse than replacement like Pujols and Cabrera have been
