But the vaccines came from Government sponsored initiatives (sponsored research into RNA vaccines, Warp Speed, etc). I thought RR taught us the Government can do no good?

I may be wrong but it feels like a large part of what the government did in this case was to get out of the way somewhat. Emergency Use Authorization, etc.
