The discourse about the unvaccinated really has tended to ignore a major argument people advance for skipping the vaccine: that they've already had COVID. With other diseases, people naturally assume that you won't get it twice.

Which is why we only ever get the flu once in our lives.

IDK man if our best science hasn't yet been able to establish whether p is true or false then the following seems like a pretty anti-science attitude: "meh, whatever, it's more convenient for me to act as if we know that p is true, so that's what I'm gonna do"

There are some viruses you can only get once (chickenpox) and many you can get more than once (flu, common cold, stomach flu). This isn’t people applying science. It’s them believing what’s most convenient for them.

The people I know who had COVID couldn't wait to get vaccinated. They didn't want to go thru the horrible experience a 2nd time

I might quibble that at some point clinging to those assumptions against empirical data might eventually cross the threshold into "anti science"-hood.
