Screw it up how? Mandel, Vance, and Timken would all be favored against Ryan. It's 2022, not 2002.

I'll reassess when we have a nominee. I agree that the turf of Ohio + 2022 is favorable. But R Senate candidates have shown an endless capacity for blowing winnable races, & the field here has some real problems. The possibility of blowing it should not be dismissed this early.

Agree with Dan. If the GOP puts up a terrible candidate, it could flip (see: Georgia). Any decent GOP wins though.

Narrator. Despite the national media fluffing JD and Josh for their own purposes, Jane Timken easily wins the primary.

The likeliest reason that would happen is if Mandel & Vance just rip each other to tatters with oppo. Which might happen. Timken is also a rookie candidate, however.
