A lot of people are really telling on themselves in what they read into that tweet vs what it actually said. Read the column.https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/the-shakespearean-father-son-tragedy-of-the-biden-family/ …

A nontrivial number of people in my mentions appear to actually believe that Champ, who died today, was the son of the president. (Also, I did no such thing). https://twitter.com/seankent/status/1406438607653675009 …

I’m sorry you’re so desperate for attention and bereft of humanity. It must suck to be this lonely.

To have a family lose their beloved dog and think, "This is the perfect time to analogize it to the death...via cancer...of a hero son," means your parents did a fairly shitty job at giving you the basics.

I read the whole piece. It seems premised on the idea that we didn't *understand* your tweet, but we did: everyone did. (Sorry to hear about the tragedies in your family though.)

Why not just say, "I forgot for a moment that Beau was a real guy who died of a brain tumor, and Champ was the real dog who loved the family through that tragedy, and I let my wit be more important than that reality"?
