The correct move is to leave the district as it is, but end the ridiculous practice (in both ME & NE) of tying electoral votes to House district lines.https://twitter.com/Redistrict/status/1405904767017234433 …

I disagree. ME-2 actually received campaign visits in the last 2 general elections, where they would not have otherwise. I am assuming the Omaha district is similar.
As a Nebraskan, I agree with you in principle, but not in practice. GOP tries each year to eliminate the district splitting, and Dems filibuster it. They can filibuster a map, too, but it should have at least a little better chance, since some new map has to be adopted.
Have you written an article on that? The idea that tying electoral votes to house districts is bad is a new one to me.
Say what you want but it's BRILLIANT on their part. Do you think any politicians would visit this flyover state EVER or give them an audience on corn or whatever they are concerned about? Nope. Other flyover states would be smart to copy them.
To wit: tRump visited it one week before election and Biden team did similar:https://journalstar.com/news/state-and-regional/federal-politics/biden-says-he-wont-give-up-on-nebraska-will-get-virus-under-control/article_78a6b605-282d-52bc-8155-3f864430e64b.html …
