Vaccine passports are a bad idea sold badly, but in the unique setting of cruise ships - people cooped up together at length, hard to get sick people swiftly off the ship, history of shipboard outbreaks - the cruise lines should have the right to require proof of vaccination.

You assume that the only parties here are the passengers, not the cruise line, which has substantial business risks at stake.https://twitter.com/KurtSchlichter/status/1402648589503852550 …

If the hotel floats out to sea for a month, sure. Most hotel stays are much shorter than stays on a cruise ship, & involve much more daily turnover.https://twitter.com/RBPundit/status/1402648976063610882 …

Vaccine passports are terrible for small businesses... As NY once again proves, it's all a nefarious scheme...

Or, and bear with me on this, let businesses decide for themselves if they want to do business with people. If a business wants proof-of-vaccination, that's up to them if they want to reject a potential customer.

I get that it went over cost, but the Passports are efficient and easy to use. Much better than carrying around that huge CDC card. Got into Yankee Stadium, other sporting events, with no issue.

My passport/proof was free with my vaccination. Everyone got one who got vaccinated. Nothing complex or costly. Getting a copy of your kids vaccinations from the health department so they can go to school? A different story.
