Star Wars had been out for at least a year when I finally saw it - it was still running at Cinema East in Suffern, so the first that was fresh in the theater may have been The Black Hole.

I was five when it hit the theaters. Had memorized the entire plot & dialogue from the six-volume comic book version by the time I saw it in the theater.
