But the best political quote in the history of Western politics probably remains that of Henry IV of France, the only French king to ever have "the Great" appended to his name, ending the Wars of Religion by converting from Protestant to Catholic: "Paris is worth a Mass."

I would love to find a great English-language podcast about pre-Revolutionary French history, from the Capetians (or even Charlemagne) to Louis XIV or thereabouts. I've asked about this in the past and nobody had any good answers for me.
