And it got quite a bit of talk at the time. To pretend otherwise now, is to be dishonest.

The Dixie part didn’t get canceled, they chose to change their name. You know that.

Lol. They were very much canceled 18 years ago when they publicly admonished then Pres. Bush for getting us into Iraq. Maybe you're not old enough to remember?

Yes, the purpose couldn’t POSSIBLY be to point to one of the earlier examples to show this is nothing new. It MUST be that the right of recent “boycott MLB & the NFL” fame doesn’t do “cancel culture.”

I have no issue with boycotts by citizens, saying an entity cannot exists is cancel culture, a few DJs may have stopped playing Dchicks, radio iHeartMedia, Cumulus did not say we will not play this music..that is Cculture

There's some pretty serious cancel culture on the right aimed at people that didn't stand with Trump 100% of the time

There is a frequency question! Also, ephemeral terms don't occur historically before they're popularized. Or, as we would have said back then, "sound bites" and "buzzwords" about "factoids" don't last. Whataboutism over the course of decades is stupidity *about* stupidity.

Rephrasing this tweet: "I am old and on the right and want to be able to tell whatever kind of jokes I want and say whatever I want without repercussions. Although, if someone ELSE does something I don't like they should be silenced." Great take, can't wait for the next one.

Bill Maher and "Politically Incorrect" is a better example, anyway.
