I thought Walker would do better as a national candidate than Tim Pawlenty did, because he is tougher, had built up more national goodwill. But he just wasn't technicolor enough to stand out on a crowded stage.

The current Republican base likes brashness. That’s why the Party is trying to move Trump’s base to Ron DeSantis. He goes after the media and doesn’t shy away when he feels he’s been slighted (which, I’m sure he’s been coached to do), while not turning as many people off as Trump

Well, not the half of the state who hated him. It’s like— who is better “suited to Wisconsin”, Ron Johnson or Tammy Baldwin? There are two Wisconsins. One of them actually likes unions, Medicaid expansion, and ease of voting. The other one likes Walker and Johnson.
