Yet another poll showing stronger support for this than for almost any other voting measure - it's the only one surveyed that gets a majority of independents - yet Democrats call it "Jim Crow" & H.R. 1 would gut dozens of state ID laws.https://twitter.com/AP/status/1377958696899256326 …

The poll also finds rare bipartisan support on a measure: requiring photo identification to vote. Overall, 72% of Americans were in favor, including most Republicans and a slim majority of Democrats. pic.twitter.com/PKT52tlPJK

I find it interesting that a provision described as Jim Crow by nearly every Democratic politician is supported by a majority of Democratic voters.

Let's do a National ID Card, and give it to every citizen for free, and then we can talk about this. There certainly won't be any controversy about a National ID Card.

You say this but republicans literally threw a fit about standardising Drivers license's and fox's primetime keeps going on rants about vaccination passports.

If Dems included some type of photo ID requirement in HR 1, would you be in favor of it? I'm guessing...nope.

Is voter ID the only provision in the GA bill? Or is there more too it leading democrats to call it the “New Jim Crow” ... seems like you are arguing in bas faith

You’re focusing on only one part Dan. If you consider all the measures in the new Georgia bill it DOES harken back to Jim Crow. It is interesting why the Georgia GOP felt the need to do this in the first place when it was their own election system laws they were changing.
