Really? Voting in 2020 was significantly different than ever before. Do you dispute that? eg, Georgia added drop boxes in 2020 for the first time as an executive order. They needed to decide whether to keep that in permanent law (they did).

Yes, it was different. But you're *this close* to the Big Lie, and you still haven't answered whether you think this bill would have been passed if Trump and his allies had won. I do not. YMMV.

I do. Would every single word of a 98-page bill have been precisely the same? Maybe not. But if you think Kemp, Raffensperger, & Abrams started fighting over elections law in Georgia only after November 2020, you have *really* not followed Georgia politics in recent years.

I didn't say that these arguments were new. GA GOP's been worried for a while. I said only that this bill, including parts that you *know* are odious (and the fact that you know it means I'm not even going to debate it) would not have seen daylight if Trump had gotten his way.

What parts are odious? I've read the whole bill.

Well, read what's actually there some time and come back another day.

"I'm not going to wallow in a bad-faith discussion" isn't the same thing as "I didn't read it." I agree with
@brianros1 when he said: No, it's not all bad. But you refuse to see that this was a direct result of the GOP not liking the outcome of an election, and so that's that.2 replies 3 retweets 10 likes -

They wanna pretend this springs from a noble place when in fact the opposite is true. If he just would acknowledge this, perhaps a better-faith discussion would ensue?

Right. More generally, not acknowledging the Big Lie is pernicious.

You have yet to admit one of the many lies about this bill. Or acknowledge my extensive body of writings on the 2020 election outcome. Because that would involve good faith.
