This sentence, “It includes the ban on providing food and drink to those in line” is flat out wrong. Beyond 150 feet from a polling place, anyone can hand out anything. Within 150 feet, no campaigning, including handing out snacks/water is allowed.https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/biden-georgia-law-jim-crow/2021/03/26/35383056-8e40-11eb-a730-1b4ed9656258_story.html …

As a veteran poll worker, there’s nothing more jarring and worse to deal with than people approaching electors in line. Even if they mean well (and mostly they do) people get freaked out by it. Instead of handing out waters, sign up to be an actual poll worker, please we need ya!

What happens if the line for a polling place extends so far as to be in front of my house? Am I allowed to distribute food and water on my own property to people standing in line in front of it?

He was so wrong that Dan freakin McLaughlin (
@baseballcrank) had to correct him. It is nearly impossible to be more wrong than that. - Show replies
