The St. Louis Cardinals hit .294 as a team over the ten-year period from 1921-30; .288 as a team over the twenty-year period from 1920-39. (The 2020 Cards hit .234, the franchise's lowest since 1908). A different era in the game, but still an impressive run in its time.

In 1894, the Orioles hit 150 triples in a 129 game season. Aside from catcher Wilbert Robinson (who hit .353), their other 7 regulars averaged 26 triples, 39 doubles, 240 hits, 54 steals, 182 Runs, 140 RBI per 162 games. That brand of baseball had to be fun to watch.
