I don’t think that critique is entirely accurate, it’s disturbing how a lot of the GOP has such contempt for lots of potential voters. The pessimism is what’s disturbing.

So much depends upon the meaning of "entirely." Voting the same way as people you trust is a way to advocate for your interests as you understand them. Even if you never read or watch the news.

In the world we live in, the "entirely" uninformed are a vanishing small group. So why anchor thinking about voting with respect to them? For one, to invite intuitions about discouraging the franchise more broadly.
