The irony of some of the opinions on here is that the only people trying to indoctrinate kids are those advocating for homeschooling & conservative colleges who don’t want expose their kids to different values & opinions — not liberal academics.

Most people I know would be fine sending their kids to a school that was like 60/40 or 70/30 liberal/conservative instruction, rather than 90/10 progressive/liberal instruction.

I don’t even know what constitutes liberal or progressive instruction, given that in half the subjects there is no such thing (i.e. quant based stuff).

Critical race & gender theory and all of their fellow-travelers in identity politics. That stuff is just pervasive at the university level these days.

I think that is true in some disciplines. But I think it’s narrower than many on the non-academic right think.

Well, there are different levels of education, ranging from pre-K to grad school, & different issues w/politics in the literature, the classroom, & the administration. It is worst, at every level, in educational administration.
