I know he was referring to Obama. Who was, of course, no Lincoln by any stretch, least of all the content of his arguments. I wrote many times back then about the absurdity of his efforts to claim that parallel.
Um--why the gratuitous, utterly off point slam? Nobody said he was Lincoln--least of all him. He admired Lincoln, like many US presidents, but, unlike many of them, had also deeply read him. Also if you don't understand Obama's project of civic nationalism you can't really
