He was governor once. Should have beaten back McCain and Huckabee. Came back. Should have beaten Obama. But his Queensberry deference to Obama blinded him to the boundless treachery of his opponents. He is very good. If he had a conservative heart, he'd be great.

Most of what you say is fair. Minus the ambition. He is flexible on policy because, imo, he's a pragmatic person with a business background and not attached to ideology. Frustrating for me, an ideologue, but doesn't mean he's nakedly ambitious. No more so than any other.
