Well, Mitch made the case for impeachment. Not enough people followed him, so he stayed with his caucus. He may make a pitch again to not nominate Trump, but he will accept reality if nobody listens.

His interaction with his caucus is not my point. My point is the caucus’s interaction with its voters. I get the difficulty and complexity of the problem. But it does seem that very few elected Rs seem willing to try to solve it.
