As usual with tribal appeals of this nature, observe the complete & total absence of discussion of (1) government policy on any issue or (2) Democrats' approach to constitutional governance, civil liberties, or other crucial elements of the classical-liberal order.https://twitter.com/Timodc/status/1363981287598354432 …

This is basically written as a brief to Democrats on what you think they can get away with to keep voters who came to them via tribal dislike of the white working class, rather than a sincere argument re what Democrats actually offer.

Lol. Yes Dan, it’s hatred of the white working class that caused this. Couldn’t possibly be the absolutely unconscionable choices of Republicans in installing a bigoted wannabe autocrat that drove these people away! They are the baddies!

That's all that remains, with Trump out of office & the opportunity to check Biden & fight within the GOP to move on from Trump. There is certainly - and you make no effort to dispute this - nothing on offer from Democrats on policy that would attract a 2012-era Republican voter.

Erm....I am "a 2012-era Republican voter" - and Biden offered me quite a bit: respect for the rule of law, concern for the fate of democracy, and skepticism about letting the Taliban ran rampant in Afghanistan - just to name a few.

If you think the Biden Democrats have any respect for the rule of law, you have slept through the past 110 years of the party's history & ignored its entire ideology.

Re-reading this thread: to be clear, I was not responding to your absolute view of the Democrats but your implicit assertion that their history makes them worse then Republicans while under the sway of the cult leader.

My argument all along is that Trump is individually bad, Democrats are institutionally bad. Republicans' problem is fixable by removing one man. Democrats' is not. It's who they are.

I see an assertion. A statement. A claim. An opinion ... not an argument.
