I get the political calculations for Republican elected officials. I get the Constitutional objections. But it requires active denial to miss that it was Trump's choices, deeds, & words that led us to that pass.

Jefferson Davis was never impeached as a Senator. But maybe how the North treated him after the Civil War is instructive today.
