If a governor's entire argument is that he represents the overwhelming majority of the electorate of his state, it matters if he's making that argument against somebody elected by a whole helluva lot more people in his state party.

I seem to recall being on the ballot for Precinct Committeeman in Wyoming for all to vote on. It would be nice if more participated, but we wouldn't have the problems we have if voters weren't so lazy and did some research before voting.
