Teaching in person is obviously, *obviously* the better choice for *learning outcomes.* But that's not the goal here, sadly. The goal is to, you know, to keep both students and teachers alive. But then I'm pro-union, so maybe you'll dismiss what I have to say?

Disadvantaged students are absolutely suffering, and it will probably push them back for years. Potentially their entire lives. Teachers know it. And it's a huge weight. But you know what is even more permanent? Long term after effects of serious illness. Or death.
