GP Do you think the House could impeach him in the first place were he not president? Say he pulled this crap two days before Biden's inauguration.

I think DQ is a consequence of removal. It is not the primary punishment or featured result of conviction. The constitution talks about “the” President and “removal”.

Even if they are, which I’m not sure their are, there is only one President at a time. Only “The” President can be “removed” from office which makes me think a trial post term is NOT what the founders authorized.

How can they be the same question if one requires a supermajority and the other a simple majority?

Because they are part of the same process that can only be initiated against the sitting president. Disqualification is an additional step the senate can take but it seems to flow from the process outlined in the rules that apply to removal of “the” President.

And if there is no fair process to adjudicate it after office Then I think there are constitutional issues with it.

How can you get a fair trial when a Democratic senator is presiding over the trial?

If this was a trial of, say, a Cabinet secretary, you'd have a Senator or the VP presiding as well.
