62 million Americans voted for George W. Bush. 61 million voted for Mitt Romney. 60 million voted for John McCain. Why is it not considered a personal insult to those voters to criticize those men in the most caustic of terms?

On the contrary, it's an insult to Trump's voters to say that they are all conspiracy-addled Trump-worshippers, when in fact I'd wager most are sensible people who thought they were picking the better of two imperfect options.

Dan, you know how well logical arguments work with that crowd.

Exactly... The same crowd that was convinced Pence could change the election result...

Who's making that argument though? I can think of a few of his enemies who condemned the voters, but I haven't seen this sleight-of-hand claiming that condemning him = condemning people who voted for him.

Every argument by Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Rand Paul ect. make includes the number of voters who voted for Trump (and conveniently leaves out the number of Biden voters).

I know it's a huge Twitter thing, but it really does seem as though a lot of Trump voters are much more into acting like victims than McCain, Romney or Bush voters ever were. If it's the Right's version of identity politics, I don't like it much.
