62 million Americans voted for George W. Bush. 61 million voted for Mitt Romney. 60 million voted for John McCain. Why is it not considered a personal insult to those voters to criticize those men in the most caustic of terms?

I haven't heard anyone say criticizing Trump's policies insults his voters. I have heard a lot of people saying all Trump voters are fascists. That's pretty insulting.
