This is a very good point. Part of the problem with Trump's complete disregard for all things that aren't him is that he didn't care at all about the baby (our democracy) being thrown out with the bathwater (his loss)

Say in 2024 that Congress rejects all the Biden votes on a clear and fact-free pretext, the Supreme Court refuses to interfere, and Trump becomes president even though Biden was elected. How does the American system prevail there? How is that not the end of democracy in the US?
