Should I regret selling all my dad's 78s in a yard sale?

78s? Nah. Likelihood he had amazing stuff in great condition is pretty low. Nearly all the old vinyl that’s sold over $10 comes from serious US collectors (or casual Japanese listeners) who were fanatics in preserving them.

In all seriousness, they were mostly stuff like Spike Jones, Patti Page, a lot of novelties.

Yeah the problem is that he probably listened to them more than once. Only Japanese seem to be able to get away with being that anal about keeping records in perfect shape.
