Not one whit of this is about any issue or idea, or about the interests of any voters. 100% of it is about the personal interests of Donald J. Trump. If you cheer or follow him down this path, you never believed a word you said about elections as binary choices.https://twitter.com/DailyMail/status/1353319147044802560 …

I disagree. This is just like the Tea Party only more powerful. The GOP establishment have ignored the interests of their voters for 30 years. That’s over now.

The Tea Party was built around issues, not the spite of one man. And it never threatened to form a third party. I mean, you can't deny that this would sacrifice the party on issues *solely* in order to protect the person of Donald J. Trump.

I strenuously deny it. Trump turned the neoliberal GOP into something much closer to the Reform Party. His voters are issue based. It’s not just a cult of personality.

C'mon, we both know better than that. On what issue is the party better off targeting elected Republicans based solely on their personal loyalty to Trump since Election Day 2020?

Trade, immigration, no new wars, critical race theory, education, transgehderism, religious freedom...

OK, let's say immigration. So, squishes on immigration are fine if they are personally loyal to Donald J. Trump. Hardliners on immigration are anathema if they are not personally loyal to Donald J. Trump. How does that strengthen the party on immigration?

You're kidding, right? How does trying to kick Brad Raffensperger & Brian Kemp cause more wall to be built after 11/3/20? We all know the line of division is 100% whether people were loyal to the personal interests of Donald J. Trump after the election.

I’m not kidding at all. The voters know McConnell couldn’t care less about immigration as long as the donors are happy. That’s the reality.

Mitch hasn't changed. He was totally fine cooperating with Trump through Election Day. You know that, I know that, Bob Dole knows that. This is 100% about what happened after Election Day, none of which is about policy or the voters.

You're the one arguing that this is not driven by the same instincts from Trump that have driven his behavior, to the detriment of the party, since Election Day. Now, who's being naive, Kay?
