My own view is that a new Administration *should* get to have its own executive branch team - checked only by the Senate stopping the worst nominees to the top posts - and take the consequences for the policies they execute.

But every single time a new GOP Admin comes to town - every single time - we get an avalanche of stories complaining about how awful it is that they're getting rid of previous people, scrubbing website policy statements, etc. Sorry to those of you who were born yesterday.
