I think we can safely assume Romney is a Guilty vote on this count.

I would think Murkowski as well.

But why bother if he’s leaving in a week?
-
Because its warranted, creates a precedent that proves to foreign countries and future presidents that America not only believes in the rule of law but also defends it, and more quickly separates Trump from what could be an honorable and principled conservative party.

This seems like best way to Prevent Trump from splitting or outright winning the Republican vote in 2024. It would be a clean break the party needs.

The outcome is really entirely in McConnell's hands.

If McConnell is backing conviction, which he should be as it would be both just and a wise political maneuver, then the votes will be there. If this were an anonymous vote, there’s be far more than the 67 votes necessary to convict Trump.
-
If McConnell backs the wrongful conviction, he will face competition his next election. It may not mayter to him though since he may have determined this as his final 6 years. Hopefully, they will do the greater good for the country and put logic over emotion.
