Serious allegations of voting irregularity must be investigated. But the Constitution doesn't place the ability to overturn certified electoral results in the hands of either the VP or a majority in Congress. And since Dems have the House, it isn’t effective strategy, either.

Correct. Since then Congress has passed the ECA to more strictly govern how to challenge and reject electoral votes.
