    Queen's Gambit is well made, but it employs virtually every child prodigy movie cliché ever -- here is this random (probably IM) chess player, just working as a janitor in an orphanage, and spending his days playing chess with himself. In what world?

        I don't have Netflix so can't watch, but: "Queen's Gambit" is probably the most unimaginative title for a chess movie ever. And great chess players study the openings & the great games obsessively. Without exception.
